Despite receiving a July 7 release date last month, developer Easy Day Studios has pushed its skateboarding simulator, Skater XL, back by three weeks. Due to circumstances outside of the studio’s control, the game will now launch on July 28 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
What is up, guys! We just wanted to let you know that 1.0 will be launching on July 28, a few weeks later than the original date. Despite our best efforts, and due in part to things out of our control, we will be moving the launch of Skater XL 1.0 on PS4,XB1, and PC to July 28th pic.twitter.com/OaRw2n21DL

One notable exception is the Nintendo Switch. Easy Day said that a new launch date for the console-handheld hybrid will be announced “in the coming weeks.” Until then, the studio confirmed that it will show off “more new content [and] features that will be available at launch” and continue to polish the game before it comes out. Skater XL is currently in Steam Early Access and retails for $20.
This news follows the announcement made by developer Crea-ture Studios, which confirmed that its skateboarding game, Session, will hit Xbox Game Preview next week. Perhaps the biggest skateboarding title coming out this year, however, is the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 remaster, which launches on September 4.
